Stations of the Cross will conclude in the oratory this morning at 8.50am. Many thanks to pupils, staff, parents and parishioners who have taken the time to attend this week and to Mrs O’Neill and Mrs Carlin for leading us in this special Holy Week devotion.

It’s our annual egg decorating challenge today. All pupils are invited to bring in a hard-boiled egg (or two!), along with anything else they need to decorate it. The boys and girls will have an hour to create their masterpiece and there’ll be a prize for the best egg in each class. Keep an eye on Twitter today for photographs of decorated eggs from across the school.

So, we’ve finally reached the last day of what has been a very busy term. We returned after the Christmas holidays to the last of the rewiring and then the latter half of the term has seen each class decanted for a second time this year as the painters have worked their way through the building. Despite us having a good clear-out as we’ve gone along throughout the year, we’ve still managed to fill another skip this week with the last of our unwanted items! Although there’s still a bit to finish off today, we should be coming back after the holidays to a beautifully refurbished, tidy and organised school. As they say, the best things come to those who wait! It’s certainly been worth the effort and disruption: we now have a school building we can all be very, very proud of!

Please can I take this opportunity to wish all pupils, staff, parents, carers, parishioners and friends a very Happy Easter. I’m sure the spring weather will arrive over the next fortnight and there’ll be plenty of opportunities for us to get out into the fresh air and recharge our batteries. See you on Monday 20th April!
