This week at Holytown Primary and Nursery this week we will all be taking part in the RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch and you can too.\u00a0 Weather permitting the school children will do this on Friday during assembly, with the nursery doing as part of their normal session across the week.\u00a0 In preparation we will be making sure our bird feeders are filled up.\u00a0 As you know over the past few years we have been looking at improving our playground and hope this year to make improvements to our Wildlife Garden at the school entrance.<\/p>\n
Now it is your turn to join in and help us find out if our hard work is paying off. We would ask you to take part in the RSPB Big Garden Bird Watch which run between 27th<\/sup>\u00a0\u2013 29th<\/sup>\u00a0January 2018.<\/p>\n All it takes is an hour and all you have to do is simply watch the birds in your garden or local park, then fill in the form to tell the RSPB what you see. The Big Garden Birdwatch gives the RSPB an astonishing amount of information about how the wildlife is fairing e.g. what is thriving, and what\u2019s under threat and then they can find out why.<\/p>\n All results of your bird watch should be submitted by 13th<\/sup>\u00a0February, you can do this by placing your form in an envelope and addressing it to Freepost BIG GARDEN BIRD WATCH. Or you can enter you results online at rspb.org.uk\/birdwatch.
