Boys and Girls in room 12 are learning to speak French. As part of our Modern Language Programme we are learning all about French culture, geography and landmarks. The boys and girls were set a challenge to build a structure to rival the Eiffel Tower. The children had to work together with limited resources and a time limit. Here are the results!

On the 11th of November 2015 Rooms 5/6 held an emotional assembly to commemorate Remembrance Day. We were fortunate to have the company of Mr Robert Trotter, a veteran of the Second World War to join us. Whilst wearing poppies the children recited poetry, displayed art work, showed a moving powerpoint, sang songs about war and peace and also included a thoughtful prayer.
We worked as a team to perform to a captive audience and there was hardly a dry eye in the house.

Primary Seven enjoyed visiting The Scottish Parliament today. Children were given a tour by Mr Michael McMahon MSP. The children enjoyed learning about the history of the Parliament building, the debating chamber, committe rooms, thinking pods and the process linked to government. The tour was completed with a tough question and answer session, with Mr McMahon answering all of the childrens tricky, probing questions.
