On the 11th of November 2015 Rooms 5/6 held an emotional assembly to commemorate Remembrance Day. We were fortunate to have the company of Mr Robert Trotter, a veteran of the Second World War to join us. Whilst wearing poppies the children recited poetry, displayed art work, showed a moving powerpoint, sang songs about war and peace and also included a thoughtful prayer.
We worked as a team to perform to a captive audience and there was hardly a dry eye in the house.
