CRAFTY SEWING\u00a0 (IDL) CLASS \u00a0LITERACY\/MATHS\/ART<\/p>\n

Children from P4 -P7 have been having fun \u00a0learning about, crafting and sewing.\u00a0 How to use different stitches for decoration, but also that these decorative stitches\u00a0 ( —–) are used to attach 2 seams together to make a garment,\u00a0 a straight stitch\u00a0 \u00a0(–)or a cross\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0(X)\u00a0 \u00a0stitch to sew on a button, or\u00a0 \u00a0(\/\/\/\/)to use as a hemming stitch etc.<\/p>\n

The children are also using talking and listening, measure, art and design skills etc., to plan and design their work.\u00a0 learning that the decorative stitches they have used also have a practical purpose too.<\/p>\n
