Dear Parents and Carers,<\/p>\n
Please find attached our class Homework Grid for September. The grid includes both \u201cMust Do\u201d and optional activities for your child to complete throughout the month.<\/p>\n
Each week, children will bring home either their class novel study, a reading book or will be asked to choose a personal reading book from home or our class library, to help develop their reading skills. They will receive a spelling wallet with word lists containing phonemes and common words to practise at home.\u00a0 There will also be a spelling document with a list of suggested activities that your child can chose from.<\/p>\n
Regular practice at home is extremely beneficial and helps children build confidence in recognising and reading words and phonemes. We encourage you to spend a few minutes each day supporting your child with these activities, as this will reinforce their learning and progress in school.<\/p>\n
In addition to this children can access the Virtual Classroom on\u00a0 Glow. As a general guide P4 = Green Classroom, P5 = Blue Classroom. However you can move between classrooms depending on what suits the child.<\/p>\n
