Please find attached the Homework Grid for October. The grid includes both “Must Do” and optional activities for your child to complete throughout the month.<\/p>\n
Each week, children will bring home either their class novel study or a reading book to help develop their reading skills. For groups reading a novel study book, children will be asked to read 2 chapters at home each week. They will be provided with further instructions about this in class. They will also receive either a spelling wallet with word lists or a word tin containing phonemes and common words to practise at home.<\/p>\n
Regular practice at home is extremely beneficial and helps children build confidence in recognising and reading words and phonemes. We encourage you to spend a few minutes each day supporting your child with these activities, as this will reinforce their learning and progress in school.<\/p>\n
