\nYou will need
\nPaint and paper
\nBubble wrap
\nWool or string or ribbon
\nPaint a circle of bubble wrap and use it to print onto your paper, use your wool to make the fuzzy bit at the top.
\nOr you can paint the palm of your hand and a little bit of your arm with green paint, paint your fingers with purple paint; place your hand on the paper and when you lift your arm you will have a great picture of a thistle.<\/p>\n<\/a> \u00a0\u00a0 <\/a>\u00a0\u00a0 \u00a0<\/a><\/p>\n
\nYou will need
\n25g butter
\n1 tbsp oil
\n1 large leek, finely chopped
\n1 medium onion, finely chopped
\n3-4 carrots, chopped into small pieces
\n1.5 litres of chicken or vegetable stock
\nSalt and pepper
\n\u2022 Melt the butter and oil in a large pan
\n\u2022 Tip in the vegetables, give them a stir and season with the salt and pepper. Cook over a low heat for 10-15 minutes or until the veg starts to soften. Pour in the stock, cover and simmer gently for 1-1 \u00bd hours or until the vegetables are soft and the potatoes are starting to break up.
\n\u2022 Using a potato masher, mash everything up, but not too much-you still want some larger tattie lumps. If the soup is too thick for your liking just add some water to thin it down.
\n\u2022 Check the seasoning and serve with fresh bread.
