Hope you all had a great day yesterday!<\/p>\n
Lets start the day by getting active. On his\u00a0 Youtube channel at 9 am Joe Wicks has a great PE lesson for you all. Get everyone in the house to join in. You’ll love it and feel great.<\/p>\n
Here are today’s tasks:<\/p>\n
Literacy<\/p>\n
Reading; Practise the words and sounds in your tin.<\/p>\n
Read the book you read yesterday from the link provided in previous blog.<\/p>\n
Spelling; Use the same words as yesterday. Choose a ‘Fun Spelling Activity’ (posted on a separate blog page).<\/p>\n
Phonics; We have been working on the phonemes, ‘sh’, ‘ch’ and ‘th’.<\/p>\n
You could make cards like the yellow ones in your tin so that the phonemes can be practised daily with the rest of your words and sounds.<\/p>\n
Choose one of the following tasks.<\/p>\n
Initial Task – Draw two pictures for each phoneme.<\/p>\n
General Task – Draw two pictures for each phoneme and write the words beside them.<\/p>\n
Challenge Task – Write two sentences with as many sh, th or ch words as you can. Draw a picture to match the sentences label the phoneme words.<\/p>\n
Maths<\/p>\n
Count aloud to 100 in ones and tens. Count in twos to 20. Count back from 30 to 0.<\/p>\n
Gather 6 objects of your choice. Investigate taking away 0, 1, 2 etc. Write the sums in your jotter.<\/p>\n
What happens when we take away all?<\/p>\n
Challenge; Make up your own take away sums. Write them in your jotter.<\/p>\n
Fancy some outdoor maths? Go to Youtube and search 30 Muddy Ways in 30 Days.<\/p>\n
Keep practising the ‘Our Father’.<\/p>\n
