We have been learning three dances; The Gay Gordons, The Dashing White Sergeant and Strip the Willow. \u00a0The favourite dances were Dashing White Sergeant and Strip the Willow. We enjoyed dancing with our friends.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/holycrossblog\/files\/2019\/02\/Dance-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-13028 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/holycrossblog\/files\/2019\/02\/Dance-1-224x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"224\" height=\"300\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Numeracy and Maths<\/em><\/strong>: We have been learning to multiply decimals using the grid method and partitioning method. This was reasonably simple as we have carried out similar calculations but without the decimal point.<\/p>\n<p>Finding the area of rectangular shapes and triangles was a different story! Phew!!!! It was challenging!!!! We need to work on this a bit more next week but we are getting there.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Literacy<\/em><\/strong><em>:\u00a0 <\/em>Well done to our Star Writers this week who wrote excellent instructions on \u2018How to Make a Gas Mask\u2019.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/holycrossblog\/files\/2019\/02\/IMG_2880.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-medium wp-image-13026 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/holycrossblog\/files\/2019\/02\/IMG_2880-300x224.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Scottish Poem<\/em><\/strong><em>: \u2018The Blue Doo\u2019.
