Science – We have been finding out how fossils are formed and discovering what it’s like to be a paleontologist. The children used a variety of tools to excavate their own fossil.<\/p>\n
Literacy – We have started a new genre of instructional writing. The children are gaining skills in, writing an explanation of what is to be done, using clear steps in chronological order, subheadings and instructional verbs.<\/p>\n
Maths – The children are learning how to use a variety of mental models when adding and subtracting 2 and 3 digit numbers. The children are also using a range of numbers beyond 5 digits and carrying out simple calculations involving negative numbers.<\/p>\n
