Welcome to our weekly blog. \u00a0It has been another exciting week of learning in primary 4.<\/p>\n
LITERACY<\/strong><\/p>\n We are still continuing to read the magic carpet slippers and this week we have learned some more new reading \u00a0strategies to help us understand the text. \u00a0These were: Summarising and Infrenecing. \u00a0These were quite tricky!<\/p>\n We have also been working hard on our VCOP (vocabulary, Connectives, Openers and Punctuation) \u00a0We have learned how to make our writing more interesting by using descriptive vocabulary. Some new words we have learned are: terrified, vicious, suspicious and curious. \u00a0We will be trying to use these in our writing.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n MATHS<\/strong><\/p>\n We have been revising our 2,4, & 8 times tables and learning lots of different strategies to work out the answer. We know that we can use array patterns, repeated addition, fingers, number lines and groups of.<\/p>\n Our other new topic that we were introduced to today was 2D & 3D shapes. \u00a0we now know what regular and irregular polygons are.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n DRAMA<\/strong><\/p>\n We absolutely loved this! \u00a0Our story this week was Joseph and his colourful coat.
