We also have a Nursery Parents&#8217; Group that meets during the day. We welcome new members to all of our meetings. Those who wish to help out at events are also encouraged to contact us.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"color: #9c1616\">Currently, the following parents serve on the various groups:<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"color: #9c1616\">Parent Council<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"color: #9c1616\">Chair &#8211; Mrs Anne Jackson<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"color: #9c1616\">Vice-chair &#8211; Mrs Donna Carrigan<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"color: #9c1616\">Secretary &#8211; Mrs Catherine Green<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"color: #9c1616\">Treasurer &#8211; Mrs Donna Wallace<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"color: #9c1616\">Church rep &#8211; Mr Robert O&#8217; Donnell<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"color: #9c1616\">Teacher rep &#8211; Mr Martin McKenna<\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"LEFT\"><span style=\"color: #9c1616\">Professional Adviser &#8211; Mrs Marie Murphy<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000\">The Parent Council\u2019s Rights and Duties will include:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000\">\u00a0supporting the work of the school<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000\">\u00a0representing the views of parents<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000\">consulting with parents and reporting back to the Parent Forum on matters of interest<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000\">promoting contact between the school, parents, pupils, providers of nursery education and the wider community<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000\">taking part in the selection of senior promoted staff<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000\">receiving reports from the head teacher and education authority, and receiving an annual budget for administration, training and other expenses.<b><br \/>\n<\/b><\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000\">improving home-school partnerships and facilitating parental involvement\u00a0\u00a0A Parent Council Constitution has been formulated in consultation with staff and parents. It is available from the school and is on display in each of the school buildings.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000\">Members of Parent Councils, on a voluntary basis, may also have an advisory role in decisions on placing requests by parents in respect of those situations where the number of placing requests for a particular school or for a particular stage in a particular school exceeds the number of places available.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000\">A Parent Council Constitution has been formulated in consultation with staff and parents.\u00a0 It is available from the school and is on display in each of the school buildings.<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We have a very active Parent Council that serves both School and Nursery.
