{"id":13,"date":"2015-05-05T09:22:59","date_gmt":"2015-05-05T09:22:59","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/anntest3\/?page_id=13"},"modified":"2022-02-08T21:49:15","modified_gmt":"2022-02-08T21:49:15","slug":"homework","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/holycrossblog\/homework\/","title":{"rendered":"Homework"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #800000\">The school policy regarding homework is that it should be a vehicle towards effective parental involvement and partnership.\u00a0 In this way the parents will become more informed as to the nature and breadth of the work the children are involved with in school.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000\">It is important that the amount of homework is within reason and suited to the age and ability of each child.\u00a0 Normally, homework activities should last around 20 &#8211; 30 minutes.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/holycrossblog\/files\/2022\/02\/homework.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-19943\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/holycrossblog\/files\/2022\/02\/homework.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"222\" height=\"227\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000\">Homework might be set as follows:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000\">preparing and practising reading<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000\">revising tables, number facts, number operations<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000\">learning spelling patterns and rules<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000\">revising language and grammar skills<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #800000\">carrying out simple research tasks.\u00a0 <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #800000\">As homework is aimed to benefit the child, you are asked to cooperate by ensuring that the work is completed and signed.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #993300\">Currently, homework tasks are being set within each <strong>child&#8217;s Team on Microsoft Teams.<\/strong> Children have been issued with login details and should check and upload work on this site.
