Values"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Our School Vision is to ensure that all children, staff and parents are treated equally, fairly and with respect.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center\">\n<span style=\"color: #00ccff\"><em>&#8220;Trying our very best to ensure that everyone achieves success&#8221;<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We do this through our School Aims in the following areas:<br \/>\n<strong>Curriculum:<\/strong> to provide a broad and balanced curriculum that matches the individual needs and experiences of each young person.<br \/>\n<strong>Attainment:<\/strong> to give all pupils the opportunity to realise their full potential through the promotion and recognition of achievement and excellence.<br \/>\n<strong>Learning and Teaching:<\/strong> to provide the highest quality of learning and teaching experiences, which enable children to become active participants in their learning.<br \/>\n<strong>Support for Pupils:<\/strong> to provide effective and meaningful support for all children, allowing them full access to all areas of the curriculum.<br \/>\n<strong>Ethos:<\/strong> to provide a welcoming, safe and caring environment in which all children, staff and parents feel valued and supported.<br \/>\n<strong>Resource Management:<\/strong> to enhance learning experiences through the use of stimulating and purposeful resources.<\/p>\n<p>In Greenhill Primary we will develop the four capacities of a Curriculum for Excellence: &#8211;<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #00ccff\">Successful learners<\/span> <span style=\"color: #999999\">Effective contributors<\/span> <span style=\"color: #00ccff\">Responsible citizens<\/span> <span style=\"color: #999999\">Confident individuals<\/span><br \/>\nThe Ten Dimensions of Excellence for this journey are: &#8211;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Engaging young people in high quality learning activities<\/li>\n<li>Focusing on outcomes and maximising success for all learners<\/li>\n<li>Promoting well-being and respect<\/li>\n<li>Developing a culture of ambition and achievement<\/li>\n<li>Developing a common vision among young people, parents and staff<\/li>\n<li>Fostering high quality leadership at all levels<\/li>\n<li>Working in partnership with other agencies and the community<\/li>\n<li>Working together with parents to improve learning<\/li>\n<li>Reflecting on our work in school and thriving on challenge<\/li>\n<li>Valuing and empowering staff and young people.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Our Pupil Voice Group asked the pupils what they thought our school was all about and here is the little acrostic they came up with&#8230;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\"><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/greenhillprimaryschool\/files\/2015\/05\/2_11.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"  wp-image-530 alignright\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/greenhillprimaryschool\/files\/2015\/05\/2_11-300x169.jpg\" alt=\"%202_1~1\" width=\"451\" height=\"254\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left\">\nAt Greenhill Primary we are:<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #00ccff\">S<\/span> Safe<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #00ccff\">C<\/span> Challenged<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #00ccff\">H<\/span> Happy<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #00ccff\">O<\/span> Outgoing<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #00ccff\">O<\/span> Optimistic<br \/>\n<span style=\"color: #00ccff\">L<\/span> Learning<br \/>\nBoth staff and pupils try to make sure that this is always the Greenhill way.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Our School Vision is to ensure that all children, staff and parents are treated equally, fairly and with respect. &#8220;Trying our very best to ensure that everyone achieves success&#8221;
