{"id":1740,"date":"2024-12-16T15:36:21","date_gmt":"2024-12-16T15:36:21","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/greengairsps\/?p=1740"},"modified":"2024-12-16T15:36:59","modified_gmt":"2024-12-16T15:36:59","slug":"nursery-admissions-deferred-entries-2025-26","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/greengairsps\/2024\/12\/16\/nursery-admissions-deferred-entries-2025-26\/","title":{"rendered":"Nursery Admissions 2025-26"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\">Please note that the closing date for applications is <strong>Friday, 21 February 2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\"><b><u>How to Apply<\/u><\/b><\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\">Applications can be completed and handed directly to the first choice setting along with the necessary supporting paperwork<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\">Parents\/carers may wish to email the application form directly to the first-choice setting, supporting paperwork can be sent as a photo attachment for those that don\u2019t have access to a scanning facility.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\">Please ensure three choices are provided.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\"><u><a title=\"https:\/\/www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/schools-and-learning\/early-learning-and-childcare\/early-learning-and-childcare-applications\" href=\"https:\/\/www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/schools-and-learning\/early-learning-and-childcare\/early-learning-and-childcare-applications\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"0\">Early learning and childcare applications | North Lanarkshire Council<\/a><\/u><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\">Paper applications can still be accepted where parents\/carers do not have access to IT.<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\">Parents\/carers unable to provide their current council tax bill can register with the Council Tax portal and obtain a copy\u00a0<u><a title=\"https:\/\/www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/council-tax\/view-and-manage-your-council-tax-account-online\" href=\"https:\/\/www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/council-tax\/view-and-manage-your-council-tax-account-online\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"1\">View and manage your council tax account online | North Lanarkshire Council<\/a><\/u><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\">Please ensure that a copy of the\u00a0<b>birth certificate<\/b>\u00a0is provided for\u00a0<b>UK Nationals<\/b>\u00a0and a\u00a0<b>Passport\/Identity Card<\/b>\u00a0for\u00a0<b>non UK Nationals<\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h3>Deferred Entries 2025-26<\/h3>\n<p class=\"x_x_elementtoproof\"><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">Deferred Entry paperwork and guidance for session 2025-26, is now available on the NLC website (<a title=\"https:\/\/www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/schools-and-learning\/early-learning-and-childcare\/deferred-entry-primary-school-2025-2026\" href=\"https:\/\/www.northlanarkshire.gov.uk\/schools-and-learning\/early-learning-and-childcare\/deferred-entry-primary-school-2025-2026\" data-auth=\"NotApplicable\" data-linkindex=\"0\">Deferred Entry to Primary School 2025-2026 | North Lanarkshire Council<\/a>).<br \/>\nCopies of the forms and the deferred entry timeline have also been attached for your information.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_x_elementtoproof\">Submissions for those children automatically deferring and those requesting to defer, should be made by close of business on\u00a0<b>Friday, 14 February 2025<\/b>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_x_elementtoproof\">For clarity, the following paperwork is required for children intending to defer entry to primary school:<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_x_elementtoproof\"><b>Children who turn 5 between 1<sup>st<\/sup>\u00a0March \u2013 13<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0August<\/b>: Deferred Entry March \u2013 Mid August Form (completed by nursery)\u00a0<b>and<\/b>\u00a0DE1 form which is signed by Head Teacher of catchment primary school.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_x_elementtoproof\"><b>Children who turn 5 between 14<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0August \u2013 28<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0February:\u00a0<\/b>DE1 form which is signed by Head Teacher of catchment primary school.<\/p>\n<p>All deferred entry paperwork should be submitted via email to\u00a0<a title=\"mailto:deferredentry@northlan.gov.uk\" href=\"mailto:deferredentry@northlan.gov.uk\" data-linkindex=\"1\">deferredentry@northlan.gov.uk<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Please note that the closing date for applications is Friday, 21 February 2025.
