{"id":3091,"date":"2015-06-19T23:35:03","date_gmt":"2015-06-19T22:35:03","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/glenmanornews\/?p=3091"},"modified":"2015-08-30T17:53:10","modified_gmt":"2015-08-30T16:53:10","slug":"p7-graduation-19-june-2015-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/glenmanornews\/2015\/06\/19\/p7-graduation-19-june-2015-3\/","title":{"rendered":"P7 Graduation 19 June 2015"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We had a fantastic graduation afternoon yesterday with our P7 pupils,\u00a0 parents, friends and members of the community.<\/p>\n<p>It started off with a wonderful rendition of &#8216;Hold Back The River&#8217; where the pupils sang their hearts out.<\/p>\n\n<p>We watched their hilarious video perfomance \u2018Songs in the Real Life\u2019 and their \u2018Back to The Future\u2019 Memories Sketch.<\/p>\n\n<p>Next was the pupil&#8217;s own &#8216; Oscar Awards Ceremony&#8217;<\/p>\n\n<p>Then lots of\u00a0 &#8216;ahhs&#8217; as we looked at photos from P1 and P7 of each pupil during the \u2018Forever Young\u2019 Photo Presentation<\/p>\n<p>The Movie Theme Dance Off was full of energy and the jury is out on who really won. Boys? Girls?\u00a0 Here are a selection of photos from the dances &#8211;<\/p>\n\n<p>All pupils were then presented with a personalised certificate of achievement by Ms Brunton (P7 teacher)\u00a0 and Mrs Charles (P6\/7 teacher).<\/p>\n<p>One of the most tense moments came next while each pupil waited to hear who had been awarded the six school cups. The cup names and reasons for being awarded are as follows &#8211; Moore Cup (Successful Learner), Lynsey Henderson Cup (Effective Contributor), Scottish Water Solutions Cup (Responsible Citizen), Joan Matthews Cup (Confident Individual), Botterills Cup (Outstanding Sports Person) and Auchengeich Memorial Cup (Exceptional Team Player).<\/p>\n\n<p>And the worthy winners were &#8211;<\/p>\n\n<p>We also presented this delighted pupil below with a beautiful trophy on behalf of Robert Burns World Federation for winning the National Primary School&#8217;s Art Competition. We also had the pupils who won 2nd and 3rd in this competiton. All three pupils received a certificate\u00a0 and their art work is on display in the reception area.<\/p>\n\n<p>Our Infant Choir rounded off a great event by singing three songs &#8220;The Banana Song&#8217;,\u00a0 &#8216;Frozen In Summer&#8217; and &#8216;Never Miss A Beat&#8217;.<\/p>\n\n<p>Then it was time to relax with family and friends with a wee glass of fizz (Shloer!) and some lovely truffles hand made in our learning kitchen.<\/p>\n\n<p>Thank you to Ms Brunton, Mrs Charles, Glenmanor Support Staff, Parents and Family for making this a fantastic event.\u00a0 And ofcourse the P7 pupils themselves!
