Tuesday 12 May – Eco Day

We have just had our Eco Day and it has been a very exciting day with lots to do and many visitors who visited our school! For example, an officer from the nearest police station came to talk to us about Stranger Danger and bullying. Some people from Cofely talked to us about energy and we even had a chance to look at the power plant in our school! We also had a workshop about the problems linked to litter – we understand that it is not right and we really want our local area to be litter free. Some of us went outside to plant various plants while others were busy cooking and making fruit salads and fruit kebabs. In the afternoon, parents were invited to visit the hall were there were many stalls (fire brigade, environmental health, child car seats, just to name a few…). We all had a brilliant day and would like to thank Ms McGeachy, Mrs Sharkey and Mrs McAleaney for organising it!
