Parents’ Evening\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Parents Evenings give parents the opportunity to discuss their child’s progress and behaviour at school.\u00a0 They also provide parents with the opportunity to update school with any new or relevant information about their child.<\/p>\n

Parents Evenings are held twice a year in each department.\u00a0 Parents will receive a read and return\u00a0 letter or text message home informing\u00a0 them about the date Parents Evening is scheduled to take place. If your child is currently in Secondary or Senior Phase, you will be required to choose the teachers you wish to see. The duration of the meeting is approximately 10 minutes. Parents are encouraged to stick to\u00a0 the allocated time slots and if they are unable to attend to contact the school.<\/p>\n

The class teacher will input into your Childs progress and behaviour however there may be questions that you\u00a0 may wish to raise.\u00a0 They may include questions from the following areas.<\/p>\n

Engagement in Class:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“How does my child engage in class discussions and activities?”\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Specific Areas:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Is there anything I should be aware of regarding my child’s progress in certain subject areas?\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

Support at Home:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“What are some specific things I can do at home to support my child’s learning in this subject?”\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Resources:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

“Are there any recommended resources, websites, or books to support their learning?”\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
