SCHOOL BLAZERS<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Please note the change to dates for the uniform fittings.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Monday 20th June (6-8pm), Tuesday 2nd August (1-3pm) and Thursday 11th August (10-11am)<\/p>\n

Blazers ordered before the 9th May will be available to pick up in school on the 7th June (10.30 – 11.30am). For orders made on any of the evenings or online after that date they will be available for pick up from the school on the 11th August (10-11am).<\/p>\n

EUROPEAN TOUR 2016 – IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

European Tour Brochures will be available from Thursday 2nd June. Please see Mr Scoular for a copy of the brochure which has all the information you need to know about the upcoming tour.<\/p>\n

UNDER 13’S (S1) FOOTBALL TEAM<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Any pupil wishing to trial for the S1 football team please give your name to Mr Inch in the PE dept ASAP.<\/p>\n

NEW LIBRARY OPENING TIMES:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The library is open to all pupils at interval every day and at lunch on a Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. S1\/S2 Book Group will take place in the library each Wednesday at lunch.<\/p>\n

GEOGRAPHY LOCH LOMOND TOUR<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

60 S1 and S2 Geographers attended a field trip at Loch Lomond National Park last Monday. They conducted field work including footpath erosion measurements and a field sketch showing the Highland Boundary Fault Line after climbing up Conic Hill to experience the amazing views. They also received a short talk from a Park Ranger on their job and the laws protecting the National Park. In the afternoon they had fun experiencing the Park as a tourist by either Kayaking or exploring the Sea Life Centre.<\/p>\n

PRIMARY MUSIC TOUR<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

GHS Senior Band, Junior Band and Traditional Band completed their three day tour around our associated six primary schools this week. The bands entertained students with a wide range of music from traditional Scottish tunes to Beyonce. Thanks to the particiaption from the primaries (great singers!) and our band conductors: Mr Ritchie, Mrs Carmichael, Mrs Briggs & Mr Hegarty. Thanks also to Mr McKreel, Jack Henderson, office staff and our classroom assistants: Linda Brynes, Carolanne McMahon & Susan O’Neill for their assistance.<\/p>\n

SCHOOL SHOW<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The Greenfaulds High summer show this year is Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast”. It will be the last show in our school theatre – all previous cast and crew members are welcome to return and celebrate the wonderful shows we have staged here down the years. The show runs for three nights – Wednesday 22nd, Thursday 23rd and Friday 24th June. Tickets are \u00a35 from the school office. Everybody welcome. Come and help us see out our theatre with a fantastic, spectacular Disney experience.<\/p>\n

SQA EXAMINATION STUDY LEAVE<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The last day of study leave for pupils sitting examinations will be Friday 3rd of June.<\/p>\n

All pupils moving from S4 to S5 next session will collect their timetable for 5th<\/sup> Year at an assembly on Monday 6th of June at 9.00am in the theatre.. All pupils moving from S5 to S6 next session will collect their timetable for 6th<\/sup> Year at an assembly on Monday 6th of June at 11.30am in the theatre (new S6 do not need to come into school until then). The new timetable for new S2 -S4 pupils will start at 8.55am on Monday the 6th<\/sup> of June.<\/p>\n

The 31st<\/sup> of May will be the official leaving date for any S4 pupils eligible to leave and wishing to do so. Please note any pupil wishing to leave requires to complete a leaver\u2019s form before this can be officially approved. Leaver\u2019s forms can be obtained from the school just prior to the 31st<\/sup> of May.<\/p>\n

All pupils who are sitting SQA examinations will be issued with an individual examination timetable. Please ensure pupils keep their examination timetable safe and arrive 15 minutes before every exam begins.<\/p>\n

Pupils must wear school uniform at all times when in the school building and deposit any mobile technology at the office prior to entering an exam or risk exclusion from the exam.<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n
