This was awarded for their conservation work and planning of events for local Primary Schools at Ravenswood Marsh. The following pupils were awarded the certificate;<\/p>\n<p>Jamie Wright<br \/>\nDavid Pollock<br \/>\nLogan Seivwright<br \/>\nFraser Pyott<br \/>\nChloe Gill<br \/>\nAshleigh Kelly<br \/>\nRachel Wilson<br \/>\nOlivia Burt<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>S4 DofE Awards<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>S4 pupils were presented with their Bronze DofE certificates and badges this week.\u00a0 Congratulations to the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sean Allison<\/li>\n<li>Leon Brass<\/li>\n<li>Nathan Campbell<\/li>\n<li>Aiden Davidson<\/li>\n<li>Derek Dunn<\/li>\n<li>Jamie Jones<\/li>\n<li>Leon McCallie<\/li>\n<li>Piaras Mitchelson<\/li>\n<li>Fraser Pyott<\/li>\n<li>Timothy Richford<\/li>\n<li>Emma Sharpe<\/li>\n<li>Kai Shirkie<\/li>\n<li>Calum Smith<\/li>\n<li>Jamie Stewart<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Ollie Sheridon was also presented with a Certificate of Achievement for successfully completing 3 sections of his Bronze Award.<\/p>\n<p>S4 pupils are currently working on their Silver Awards, having completed their Silver Expedition last term. Mrs Beattie, Mr Adler and Mrs Morrow were invited to their Expedition Presentation. Pupils shared their experiences, including what they had learned about the areas they walked through and themselves. Pupils presented this confidently and it was clear that they will take away lots of memories from this experience!<\/p>\n<p><strong><u>PARENTS &amp; CARERS<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We want to make sure that all children are able to make the most of the school day and that no child misses out on anything. Our Art department and three of our extremely talented and humble pupils have been successful in one of the best School Art competitions in Scotland.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe <strong>RSA Schools Art Award <\/strong>is open to all Secondary and Special Schools in Scotland. The competition has been running since 1986 and is considered by teachers to be one of the most prestigious awards made to pupils. Supported by Scottish law firm <strong><u>Brodies LLP<\/u><\/strong>, prizes are awarded for work which displays creativity and originality and skills of technique and observation.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><strong>Award 1<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>This year\u2019s Inspiration Art Department Award was won by Greenfaulds High School. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>This outstanding award, secured for the Art department by Kirstin Armstrong, has won \u00a31000 for the Art department for a specific project which was chosen as the winner ahead of almost every school across Scotland. This is a huge and wonderful achievement, as well as further contributing to the great reputation we have here at Greenfaulds High School and recognition for being an increasingly successful art department.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Award 2<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Main prize winner &#8211; Abby Quinn chosen from the Senior Category<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Abby Quinn in S6 secured one of the main prizes, chosen from out of over 300 entries from all other schools and we are absolutely over the moon with the news that she came FIRST (winning herself \u00a3250 in prize money)<\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong><strong>Award 3<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Highly Commended Certificates &#8211; Cailin Lardner, S2 chosen from the Junior Category and Anna Leishman, S6 chosen from the Senior Category<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>We also had two pupil\u2019s art works chosen for a Highly Commended certificate.
