{"id":3581,"date":"2020-08-12T14:25:43","date_gmt":"2020-08-12T14:25:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/ghshome\/?p=3581"},"modified":"2020-08-12T14:25:49","modified_gmt":"2020-08-12T14:25:49","slug":"arrangements-thursday-13th-august","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/ghshome\/2020\/08\/12\/arrangements-thursday-13th-august\/","title":{"rendered":"Arrangements Thursday 13th August"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Return to school: Thursday 13 August for year groups S1, S4 and S5\/6 only<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Specific arrangements for the staged return of year groups is now available.\u00a0\u00a0 For Thursday we welcome back our S1, S4 and S5\/6.<\/p>\n<p>The video post clearly outlines pupil zones, hand sanitisation arrangements and movement around the school.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/EivLuP7yVKw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Click Here To Access Video<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/public\/ghshome\/uploads\/sites\/26302\/2020\/08\/11170428\/Greenfaulds-High-School.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Click Here To Access Slides<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>In summary<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>S1 pupils should congregate in the Red Zone<\/li>\n<li>S4 pupils should congregate in the social area<\/li>\n<li>S5\/6 pupils should make their way directly to their P1 classroom (as shown on the list below)congregate in the Green Zone<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>When the bell rings at 8.55 am:<\/p>\n<p>S4 will make their way directly to classrooms (shown below)<\/p>\n<p>S5\/6 will aready be in classrooms.<\/p>\n<p>S1 will report to their Period 1 class as shown on their timetable.<\/p>\n<p>Staff will be on hand to direct pupils as required.\u00a0 After the interval all pupils will follow timetabled classes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Transport Reminder<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If you are using the drop off zones, I must respectfully remind parents that they may not leave their vehicle.\u00a0 If at all possible, please consider dropping your child off out with the school perimeter to prevent congestion.<\/p>\n<p><strong>School Bags<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These can be brought to school but pupils are asked not to share personal belongings with each other.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Fusion School App<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As per NLC announcements, details about how to access the app for payments for school lunches were sent directly to parents.\u00a0 If there is any problem tomorrow at break and lunchtime, school staff will be on hand to ensure that no pupil is left without lunch.<\/p>\n<p><strong>PE<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Government Guidelines have indicated that only outdoor PE is permissible at the moment.\u00a0 Further information about what this means for pupils will follow<strong>.\u00a0 Please note there will be no need for any PE kit for Thursday 13 August.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Quarantine\/Isolation<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please be aware that there may well be circumstances affecting families where pupils are not able to return to school right now &#8211; for example have just returned from a holiday in a country requiring quarantine; awaiting Test and Protect outcomes; self-isolating with symptoms (either self or household members).<\/p>\n<p>Whilst it is regrettable pupils in this position may miss the first few days back, health and safety is paramount and if any of these circumstances apply, please contact the school and the absence will be noted accordingly.<\/p>\n<p><strong>SQA &#8211; Updated Results<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Please note that any pupil who was awarded a result less than their teacher estimate will be informed of their updated result over the next day or so.
