{"id":3575,"date":"2020-08-11T17:07:33","date_gmt":"2020-08-11T17:07:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/ghshome\/?p=3575"},"modified":"2020-08-11T17:07:33","modified_gmt":"2020-08-11T17:07:33","slug":"first-day-arrangements-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/ghshome\/2020\/08\/11\/first-day-arrangements-2\/","title":{"rendered":"First Day Arrangements"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Return to school: Wednesday 12 August for year groups S1, S2 and S3 only<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Specific arrangements for the staged return of year groups is now available.\u00a0\u00a0 Arrangements for Thursday\u2019s year groups will be posted tomorrow (to avoid any confusion!)<\/p>\n<p>The video post clearly outlines pupil zones, hand sanitisation arrangements and movement around the school.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/EivLuP7yVKw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Click Here To Access Video<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/public\/ghshome\/uploads\/sites\/26302\/2020\/08\/11170428\/Greenfaulds-High-School.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Click Here To Access Slides<\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>In summary<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>S1 pupils should report to the social area inside the building on arrival on campus<\/li>\n<li>S2 pupils should congregate in the Yellow Zone<\/li>\n<li>S3 pupils should congregate in the Green Zone<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Staff will be on hand to direct pupils to the correct areas.\u00a0 When the bell rings, S2 and S3 pupils should proceed to the class\/teacher\/location shown on the class lists displayed both on the website and around the school.\u00a0 S1 will be met by their teacher and taken to the class.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Transport Reminder<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>If you are using the drop off zones, I must respectfully remind parents that they may not leave their vehicle.\u00a0 If at all possible, please consider dropping your child off out with the school perimeter to prevent congestion.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>School Bags<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>\u00a0<\/strong>These can be brought to school but pupils are asked not to share personal belongings with each other.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Fusion School App<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>As per NLC announcements, details about how to access the app for payments for school lunches were sent directly to parents.\u00a0 If there is any problem tomorrow at break and lunchtime, school staff will be on hand to ensure that no pupil is left without lunch.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>PE<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Government Guidelines have indicated that only outdoor PE is permissible at the moment.\u00a0 Further information about what this means for pupils will follow<strong>.\u00a0 Please note there will be no need for any PE kit for Wednesday 12 August or Thursday 13 August.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\"><strong>Quarantine\/Isolation<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<p>Please be aware that there may well be circumstances affecting families where pupils are not able to return to school right now &#8211;
