{"id":1565,"date":"2017-10-25T09:17:28","date_gmt":"2017-10-25T09:17:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/ghshome\/?p=1565"},"modified":"2017-10-25T09:17:28","modified_gmt":"2017-10-25T09:17:28","slug":"homework-texts","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/nl\/ghshome\/2017\/10\/25\/homework-texts\/","title":{"rendered":"Homework Texts"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>In order to provide parents with more timely information with regards to homework concerns the Maths and English Departments are going to run a trial where they will text parents regarding homework concerns.<\/p>\n<p>There are a number of reasons why we feel this will be more beneficial:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The process is much more efficient, rather than having to wait on the post or relying on the pupil handing the letter to parents.<\/li>\n<li>We know that the parent will receive the information avoiding the requirement to remind pupils to have the tear off slip returned.<\/li>\n<li>It is a much more sustainable and environmentally friendly method.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Should we feel this is beneficial we will roll this out across all departments in the near future.<\/p>\n<p>The trial will start on Monday the 30th of October.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In order to provide parents with more timely information with regards to homework concerns the Maths and English Departments are going to run a trial where they will text parents regarding homework concerns.
