Study Support comprises live, interactive webinars and are delivered online by experienced, GTCS registered teachers. Almost 60 different webinar subjects are on offer during the week of 6th-10th April, covering the most popular curricular areas as well as an extensive range of other subjects.\u00a0\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>4287 learners from 321 secondary schools across Scotland signed up for the Easter programme last year. Almost all learners surveyed rated the overall quality of their experience as \u2018excellent\u2019, with 98% claiming that the webinars had helped to increase their confidence and reduce their anxiety ahead of final exams.\u00a0 <\/em><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>Further information on how to access the programme can be found <\/em><em>\u00a0 <\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a Champion!<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Late on Wednesday night, I was updated from Mr Meikle that Connor Bogie Davidson who has just returned from Thailand after competing in the World Muay Thai Boxing championships and it turns out he won his weight category so he is the WORLD champion!\u00a0 Just amazing stuff \u2013 go you Connor!!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Access to the school<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As part of a review on building security, we have now moved to the main doors at the front and rear of the building being locked during class time.\u00a0 This is to ensure that only people can access our school via the visitor entrance and sign in at reception.\u00a0 If your young person is running late for any reason can you remind them of this and that they need to come in through the guest for pupils with ASN<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>As a parent with a child who has an additional support need, I know that information can be particularly helpful to ensure you are supporting your young person in the best possible way.\u00a0 The Support for Learning department work closely with Speech and Language therapy, Occupational Therapy, Hope for Autism and the Neurodevelopmental Team.
