Primary 1 – 3/4 took part in a German outdoor workshop where they were keen to show off their knowledge of numbers, colours nad animals. Danke schön Andrea!
We are extremely proud to announce we have two winning entries in the national SCILT poetry competition. Well done to both of you!
The Language Committee have placed 6 German words in the windows of 5 Gartcosh shops. Each word is a different way of saying ‘great.’ Use the answer sheets to gather the information and hand your entry into the school office. There will be three winners and each winner will receive an exciting prize. Viel Glück!
Eilidh who is a Gaelic speaker from Skye visited Primary 4/5 to Primary 7 to teach pupils Gaelic. Eilidh is part of an organisation called Fèisgoil who promote Gaelic throughout schools in Scotland.
Earlier this term, a pupil’s dad came along to join in with language learning. We hope you enjoyed your visit.
Primary 4/5 pupils have been learning how to ask for help using German. Have a look at the fabulous posters they made. These will be displayed aound the school.
