The Language Committee suggested having a teddy bear’s picnic for Primary 1. Primary 1 tried some different food from German speaking countries, sang songs and the Language Committee even performed ‘heads, shoulders, knees and toes’ in German too.

Primary 1 – 3/4 took part in a German outdoor workshop where they were keen to show off their knowledge of numbers, colours nad animals. Danke schön Andrea!

The Language Committee have placed 6 German words in the windows of 5 Gartcosh shops. Each word is a different way of saying ‘great.’ Use the answer sheets to gather the information and hand your entry into the school office. There will be three winners and each winner will receive an exciting prize. Viel Glück!
Eilidh who is a Gaelic speaker from Skye visited Primary 4/5 to Primary 7 to teach pupils Gaelic. Eilidh is part of an organisation called Fèisgoil who promote Gaelic throughout schools in Scotland.
