Diversity Week

Thank you very much to all the pupils and parents who came along to find out about what pupils will be learning about this week at the stand set up at parents’ night last week.  Diversity Week will run from Monday the 26th of March until Wednesday the 28th of March. During Diversity Week, pupils will be learning about a range of conditions that can affect children in our school community. There will be visitors coming into classes to talk to pupils including representatives from Changing Faces, Diabetes Scotland, DeafBlind Scotland, Epilepsy Scotland and Guide Dogs for the Blind.

Share similarities, celebrate differences.

Fairtrade Fortnight

Our pupils on our Fairtrade Committee have been very busy behind the scenes, organising our Fairtrade Fun Day on the 8th of March. To raise awareness of Fairtrade , we have been selling a selection of Fairtrade products at tuck shop this week and pupils have also had the opportunity to  win a Fairtrade football, Easter Egg or Fairtrade Hamper as prizes in our raffle.

Pupils are invited to dress down in Fairtrade colours and enjoy, Fairtrade face-painting, Beat the Goalie, a Fairtrade Bake Off competition, Guess the weight of the cake competition and try some Fairtrade Arts and Craft activities. Please support this fantastic event, all we ask is that you bring £1 to school on Thursday.
