Leading the Learning
This week we have had the opportunity to deliver our very own African lesson to our peers. Before the holidays we worked in collaborative groups to plan and research a chosen theme for our lesson based on our IDL topic, Africa. Themes included; African money, animals, sports and food.
Mrs Chalmers thinks we did an amazing job presenting our learning to the class in a confident and positive manner. Perhaps we have a few aspiring teachers in our class? Here are a few photographs of our groups delivering their lessons.
Diversity Week
Primary 6 started Diversity Week off by considering how we are all different in the class and all unique. We discussed our likes and dislikes and shared these with our peers to highlight to each other our similarities and differences and how special we all are. During the week we had informative visits from Changing Faces, Epilepsy Scotland and Diabetes Scotland. The main message we learned throughout Diversity Week was not to judge or discriminate against those who have a condition or disfigurement but to embrace and value our differences.
