Nature Explorers….
If you go down to the woods today…
Over the past few weeks the children and staff have been exploring our local forest. The children have been climbing trees, looking for insects and other wild life, as well as den building.
They have had lots of time to explore and discuss how we can look after the forest, it’s creatures, manage risk and work as part of a team. All under the watchful eye of the Keeper of the Forest.

2-3 Playroom Routines and Friendships
In the 2-3 playroom, the children have shown an interest in the boardmaker signs around the nursery, they follow them to see what comes next in the routine for washing their hands and when preparing for, having and tidying up after snack.
We are always encouraged to form friendships and to help our friends and share. We co-operate and share with others in our play when building.
We have explored the paint with our hands to feel the texture and to produce lovely pictures to take home.

The busy few weeks
Our first couple of weeks back have been so busy, everyone is settled in and beginning to explore all the learning experiences on offer.
The Children have been mark making using a variety of different materials and sharing their thoughts and ideas about their drawings. They have been participating in role play with lots of dressing up materials. Using scarves, jewellery and handbags.
In the Creative Area the children have been exploring different textures in sensory play, such as shaving foam, flour, pasta, playdough, sand and water.
The Children have been visits to the allotment to gather different types of vegetables which they have spoke about before washing them cooking them and tasting them at snack time.
Outdoors the children have had the opportunity to play on the balance bikes and have looked after the dolls washing them.
