We hope everyone had a lovely October break.   Practitioners are looking forward to working with the children in the new term.

At Forgewood Family Learning Centre we value the importance of outdoor learning and promote and encourage children to explore their natural environment everyday.

Outdoor play during  Autumn and Winter  brings colder and wetter weather therefore can we remind you to ensure your child has a change of clothes  in their bag. This will allow your child to have their own clothes to change into as nursery have a very limited supply. Can we also ask children to bring their own wellingtons, hats, scarfs etc. to keep them warm and dry.

Halloween parties will take place on Monday 31st October and we would appreciate if you could donate some party foods for the children.

Items such as:

diluting juice

gummy sweets

crisps

cocktail sausages

etc.

Items donated can be handed to your child’s key worker.

Our new term newsletter is now available. You will find it in our ‘Parent Area’

Could we please remind all parent/carers to provide indoor slippers or soft shoes with no laces for your child to wear in nursery. This helps to promote independence and also keeps our carpets clean as we spend lots of time on the floor. Thank you for your continued support!

Welcome back and I hope everybody had a lovely summer break.

A big welcome to our new Depute Head of Centre, Jackie we all hope she is settling in well. We also have two new practitioners Emma and Stacey. Emma will be working in the Annexe and Stacey in Fife Drive and some staff have moved around, however, we are all excited and looking forward to playing and learning in the new term.
