Bags of Help is Tesco’s local community grant scheme where the money raised by the carrier bag charge in Tesco stores is being used to fund thousands of community projects across the UK. The projects must meet the criteria of bringing benefits to the community. We have been lucky to get to be selected as one of three community projects in our local area that will be voted on by customers in the Tesco store in Bellshill.  Following the vote, the project that receives the most votes will receive a grant of up to £4,000, second place receiving up to £2,000 and third place up to £1,000.

This money would enable us to provide even more fantastic learning opportunities for our children and families therefore we urge you to ask for some blue tokens at the checkout everytime you shop in Tesco and pop them in the clear plastic post box marked ‘Forgewood Family Learning Centre.’
