Look at what we have been learning…

The children in the Annexe have been learning more about how things grow.  They have been planting seeds, watering them and now we will wait to see how tall they grow.  There has been lots of discussions about what they need to help them grow as well as what the different parts of the plants are called.  The children have also been taking care of  the babies in the home corner giving them their bottles of milk,  feeding them baby food as well as changing their nappies.  We have been having lots of conversations about what a baby needs to grow and how they help their parents at home to look after their brothers or sisters. Children have also been exploring patterns by printing with a variety of fruits, vegetables and flowers, looking at the different shapes and patterns they create. We have been enjoying lots of outdoor learning, digging and creating mud pies and snacks in our outdoor mud kitchen.  Children have also been learning about how to keep themselves safe in the sun. Our story tree has provided a quiet space for children to explore a variety of fairy tales and books on planting and growing.
