In line with the Scottish Government update ’12th April 2023′ around the eligibility criteria for free school meals for pupils in primaries 1 to 5. This will now include all pupils attending an ‘Additional Support Needs School’. Therefore, all pupils in ASN schools will receive a free school meal at lunchtime.<\/p>\n
If your child would like a snack or drink from the canteen at break time as well as a school lunch they can purchase the additional food \/ drink using money on their account.<\/p>\n
Diluting juice and water are always available free of charge.<\/p>\n
You may be entitled to apply for a clothing grant if your child attends a North Lanarkshire school. The application portal for free school meals and clothing grants is now live. Parents\/carers can apply through the council website.<\/p>\n
For session 2025-2026 the clothing grant is:<\/p>\n
\u00a3155 for primary school pupils
\n\u00a3180 for secondary pupils
\nPayment will be made by BACS payment directly into your bank\/building society account.<\/p>\n
