New direct payment system for free school meals<\/h1>\n<\/div>\n

Important information for parents and carers of pupils who receive free school meals<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

A new payment system is being set up for pupils who receive free school meals.<\/p>\n

It will start on Friday 27 March and run throughout the current health crisis.<\/p>\n

Parents and carers of pupils who receive free school meals will be sent a message twice a week from the council. It will include a voucher code for \u00a310.00 (you will receive a total of \u00a320.00 per child per week).<\/p>\n

The message will be sent either as a text message to your mobile phone, by email or as a printed copy if you don’t have internet access.<\/p>\n

You can use the voucher code at any shop that accepts Pay Point, for a list of your local Pay Point retailers visit\u00a0https:\/\/consumer.paypoint.com\/<\/a>\u00a0and enter your postcode.<\/p>\n

Funding from\u00a0this came\u00a0from the \u00a33m emergency fund the council has\u00a0set aside to respond to the health crisis.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
