It’s been a typically busy last few days at Firpark Primary School and it is set to continue to be for the remaining days we have remaining.
Last week we had the remainder of our school trips with all the infants visiting Lollipop Land and some of our junior classes visiting M and Ds for bowling and lunch. We also had a football tournament organised by Willie, our committed football coach!
We are also delighted to announce that Room 8 with Miss Gilgunn raised a wonderful £44 for Mary’s Meals as part of their numeracy work. Not only have room 8 learned a lot about money, they’ve also raised a great total for a very worthwhile cause!
On Tuesday, 20th June, we were extremely privileged to have Chris Cadden of Motherwell FC present our football awards. The boys and girls were a little awestruck at meeting one of their heroes. A big thanks to Chris, and to Willie for organising the event.
Please take a couple of moments to complete this questionnaire about your child’s year in Firpark Primary School. There will also be opportunities for you to complete this at school during the Parents’ Evening.
Today Rooms 2, 9, 10 and the MP Room visited Briarlands Farm Park near Stirling. The children all had such a great time and were all a credit to the school. Here’s a wee montage of pictures and videos of some of the fun things we got up to today.
A big thank you to all our parents, staff and our local community for all your efforts in making Thursday evening’s bingo night a massive success. Thanks to all your efforts we were able to raise a total of £1, 480.
