Today we finally got to go on our school trip and had a fab time learning more facts about kelpies. All the boys and girls were on their best behaviour and i would like to thank our two helpers. here are some of the things we wanted to share with you. If you didn’t get to share your best part about the trip leave us a comment and we can read it in class next week.
Matthew – The kelpies were made in Yorkshire.
Reece – Lots of lorries were carrying the pieces of stainless steel from Yorkshire to Falkirk.
William – We went inside the Kelpies, we saw some benches and some water.
Rory – The Kelpies are called Duke and Barron.
Evie – They were named after two horses.
Riley – Years ago the horses had to drag the boats along the canal.
Ellie – A canal is like a river that is deep and people made it 221 years ago.
Lewis – They pulled it over because if they didn’t have the horses the boat might not go the right way.
Fyfe – We went to the park near the Kelpies but we had a long walk.
Archie – I liked going on the trampoline.
Emily- My favourite part of the Kelpies was going the rope.
Maxwel – When we had our playtime we got to sit on big high people chairs.
William – I liked when we went to the lego Kelpies.
Rory – (Our guide) Andy played a game of true and false with us and asked us lots of tricky questions to check we had been listening.
Looks like everyone had a fab day.
