Wishing everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
Best wishes from Primary 3/4
Mrs Cornwell, Mrs Mutch and P3a invite you to share in their learning
We have had a lovely few days enjoying our learning in Primary 3/4. Lots of exciting things happening …especially our advent calendar of 24 bowls to Christmas!
The children have been learning about 2D shape and are beginning to identify some if the names of the many different 2D shapes.
In the pictures you can see them matching shapes with their names, recording the number of edges and vertices for each shape, identifying curved edges and straight edges, completing a cut and stick  activity and using ICT programs to create 2D shapes.
Children are getting very excited about the fayre next Thursday  30th November.
As you can see we had a brilliant session today decorating the Jazzy Jars.
Smell will be the last of our senses for now, as we will cover hearing through another topic next year.
This topic has been fun and engaging for the children as you can see from our pictures. Today we had to use our sense of smell only (no looking) to identify a number of items – some food and some not. Safe to say all noses are working well!
I was very proud of their team work today – well done everyone.
