On the christmas party we were playing pass the parcel when we were out we got ice cream we had so much fun.We played musical arms and it was fun too. Christmas jumper day was awesome!!! we got to eat snacks we learned the birdie dance. On Christmas jumper day p3/4 went to the hall they were nail painting and face painting too it was fun!!
Our Busy week
We have had a fun and very busy week. It was hard but we have managed to pull through.
IDL – for our topic sound we have finally made our own musical instruments. We found that they need air to work and make sound. We made guitars, trumpets & drums. Most of them work & we enjoyed making them. It was a very fun week.
Nativity Practice – We have been working on our nativity in the hall and can’t wait for you all to see it. We have been working very hard to remember our songs and lines. Some of us are in the band & choir & we need to know when to come in. Some narrators are busy learning their lines as well.
Dance Practice – We have been learning new dances along with Primary 3, getting ready for our Christmas dance next week. We have been enjoying the Cha Cha Slide & the Virginia Reel and can’t wait until Monday. Our favourite game is Corners and we have had lots of fun learning it.
Maths – Weight, we have been estimating and weighing items in our classroom. We have been learning about scales, grams and kilograms. It has been a very fun maths topic.

Our week – 16/11/15 – 20/11/15
Literacy
Today we were very excited and lucky to see a pantomime. The theme was ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’. We all loved it and it was amazing. Then after it we wrote about it, for our taught writing, which was fun.
We have been practising our handwriting and we are making very good progress with this.
P3s are enjoying Crazy cousins and Aliens stole my dog. This week we have been working on our sequencing and got to draw comic strips as well as writing about the story and Laya said is was fun.
P4s are also enjoying literacy and have just finished the Ant and the Dove. They got to listen to the story and they enjoyed reading along with it. They are now on Mr Big has a Party, which they are very excited about as well.
Numeracy
We have been continuously learning our 2,5 and 10 timestables. we have all been working so hard that we have all bet our best scores & are very proud of ourselves.
We have moved onto 3D shapes and have been having fun learning about the different shapes.
IDL
Our new topic is ‘Sound’. We learned that sound is made from vibrations. In groups we had a hunt around the class looking for items that made sound. We are looking forward to doing more about it & maybe using our 3D shapes in the topic. Watch this space.
Expressive Arts
We made Christmas Decorations and cards. We also did a collage of a landscape with houses. We all loved doing this & can’t wait for next week.

Our Week 19th October 2015
This week for Health and Wellbeing we were learning to play basketball by dribbling the ball. Then we had a really fun game of bench ball & we can’t wait to play it again next week.
Numeracy : We have worked hard and have been working on Learn-its, now our 2, 5 and 10 x tables but we are getting better and quicker at them.
We are doing time & we had lots of fun learning quarter past and to by doing a matching game.
Literacy : In Literacy we have been doing our common words. P3s are still reading the Boy Racer but are on the last chapter, they have really enjoyed this book.
The P4s have been learning the phoneme ‘ee’ & are still enjoying reading about Pirate Pete.
With Mrs Bokas on Thursday, we drew Christmas cards with and also made Halloween paintings.

Class News Of The Week
This week from Primary 3/4
This week for Health and Wellbeing we had Mrs McIntyre and we went outside. We used cards & had a laminated Eat Well plate. Then we put cards on areas of the eat well plate. It was fabulous fun, we loved having Mrs McIntyre and going outside in the sun.
Numeracy : We have worked hard and have been working on Learn-its, still our 2 & 5 x tables but we are getting better and quicker at them.
We started doing time & we had lots of fun making our own clocks. We have been learning to tell the time using o’clock, half past and are starting to do quarter past and too as well.
Literacy : In Literacy we have been doing a consolidation week for spelling. P3s are sill reading the Boy Racer and we are on chapter 6. The P4s are still reading about Pirate Pete & are enjoying his stories.
For taught writing we wrote about our disguises & we used lots of description.
With Mrs Bokas on Thursday, we wrote Acrostic Poems about Autumn.
We have had a busy yet fun week.

The Adventures of the p3/4
In Maths we have been learning our learn-its, Our 2 & 5 times tables. We have been practising them all the time, playing different games and things. We are finding this all new, different & fun.
We have also been doing some mental maths, jumping to numbers on a number line. We played a board game with partners & used the big dice to actually jump up a number line. It was really good fun & a few of us found it easy.
In Literacy we have been working on our phonemes, such as , ‘y’ ‘ and ’igh’. We have been playing games to try to remember which words have which phoneme sound in it.
In taught writing we finished our Winnie the Witch stories. We loved writing about Winnie the Witch and our stories are on display outside our classroom if you want to come and see them.
For our reading Primary 3s got their first chapter book, called, ‘The Boy Racer’ We are really enjoying the book so far & have read 4 chapters. For our writing task we have to kid on we were actually Gary & write about his feelings.
The P4s have been reading about Max & they are really enjoying their books. Primary 4s wrote instructions about how to make Max fly like Pecky which was good fun and drew a characterisation of the main characters.
This week for RME we used ICT. We learned how to make a movie. In partners we made puppets & backgrounds. Then we used the Ipads to film our puppets. After we filmed it, we put the video into Imovie. After that we added music and photographs. It was really good fun & we would love to do it again at some point.
Our very Hard working Week
Maths we have been learning our learn-its, Our 2 & 5 times tables. We have been practising them all the time, playing different games and things. We are finding this all new, different & fun.
In Health and Wellbeing, with Mrs Cornwell on a Monday we have been enjoying using the wall bars. We put out 5 different stations, like skipping, juggling, hula hoops and Javelins. We are all able to put out all of the equipment safely and can attach the bench to make a slide, which has been so much fun. Everyone is confident at climbing up the wall bars, even up to the top.
The ropes are really good fun as well & we love swinging on them like mad monkeys, we are having an amazing time.
In Literacy we have been working on our phonemes, such as , ‘au’, ‘ow’ and our new one ‘y’. We have been playing games to try to remember which words have which phoneme sound in it.
In taught writing we wrote our 27 word story and then we did a re-draft of the stories on the IPads. It was really good fun and we loved writing our stories as well as using the IPads for Literacy.
For our reading Primary 3s got their first chapter book, called, ‘The Boy Racer’ We are really enjoying the book so far.The P4s have been reading about Max & they are really enjoying their books. Primary 4s wrote instructions about how to make Max fly like Pecky which was good fun too.

Our Week – P.E. & Class Charter!
Lin Primary 3/4, we have had an exciting week. On Monday we were allowed to take out the wall bars for P.E. It was fun because we got to climb the wall bars and slide down the bench. We loved swinging on the ropes like cheeky monkeys and Spiderman. We can’t wait until it’s Monday again.
On Wednesday afternoon, we made up our Class Charter. A Class Charter is about all the rules of the classroom that we will follow. As a class we decided which rules we wanted and we wrote them up on the board.
After that we went on the iPads, went onto the App store & downloaded Pic Collage. We made our Class Charter using Pic Collage by taking photos of each other. We used drama to act out each rule & then we put them together in a poster.
