Rabbie Burns

Yesterday was Robert Burns day. We celebrate Robert burns on the 25TH January as he was born on the 25th January 1721.

Robert Burns is famous for his poems. We listened to two of his poems toady. We really liked ‘To a mouse’ and we were able to hear the translation of ‘Address to a Haggis’. On Rabbie Burns day people around the world celebrate his life by wearing Scottish clothes, like kilts, and eating Scottish food like Haggis, Neeps and Tatties. People also eat shortbread, we got to try some toast and it was delicious.
