We have also heard about some new local opportunities:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_x_MsoListParagraph\">Power Networks Demonstration Centre, Cumbernauld \u2013 engineering and sustainability (3 placements)<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_x_MsoListParagraph\">Scottish Universities Environmental Research Centre (SUERC), East Kilbride\n<ul type=\"circle\">\n<li class=\"x_x_MsoListParagraph\">Earth Sciences &#8211;\u00a0<i>Ancient climate signals in manganese oxides \u2013 a textural and chemical investigation of minerals across Britain<\/i><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_x_MsoListParagraph\">Chemistry\/ biology \u2013\u00a0<i>Investigating isotope differences in skate eggs<\/i><\/li>\n<li class=\"x_x_MsoListParagraph\">Environmental chemistry \u2013\u00a0<i>Investigating pollutants<\/i><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_x_MsoListParagraph\">University of Stirling \u2013 coding to predict disease risk from datasets (6 placements) \u2013 travel expenses are paid by the NRP programme<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_x_MsoListParagraph\">Many projects in Glasgow, especially in biology, chemistry and engineering<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Speak to Miss Brennan if you are interested in applying.
