S1 – Staying Safe Online

Welcome back to school, I hope you had a good and healthy holiday. If you have not yet submitted last week’s task to your teacher, then please do that just now.

Quite a few of you have told me about how you are keeping in contact with friends and family using social media, so this is a good time to go over some of the Internet Safety we covered in class.

I would like you to think about ways you are keeping in contact with people, what sites or applications are you using. Then I want to think how you are keeping yourself safe online.

Using the departmental area on “staying safe online” ( https://blogs.glowscotland.org.uk/nl/ColtnessHS-Mrs_Bennie/courses/ ) to help you, create a presentation about keeping yourself safe and include a list of dos and don’ts. Be as creative as you like and use as many slides as you need, add animations and images.

Complete the following wordsearch https://wordsearchlabs.com/view/56309 and add a screen snipping of it (Windows+Shift+S) to the end of the presentation.

Email the completed presentation to your teacher.
