S1 – Clap for the Carers
Task: create a PowerPoint presentation to encourage people to “Clap for the Carers”.
Every Thursday at 8pm we come together to clap for the NHS and all the key workers who are out there looking after us all. You might have taken part; it can be quite noisy.
We would like you to create an presentation using PowerPoint to help people remember to clap for the NHS. The idea is that this presentation can be shared on social media.
This is our biggest task yet and will require you to do some research and learning by yourself.
Step 1 – YouTube
Go onto you tube and have a look at some PowerPoint animation and sound tutorials, like the ones below. This will help you get some ideas what you can put in the PowerPoint. Remember we will need sound as well as animation.
Step 2 – PowerPoint
Make a PowerPoint that has all the information you need to advertise the clap, think about what people have to do,
- where they can clap
- what they can do to make it louder
- Add animations and sound effects.
- Make sure it is eye catching and lasts for at least 1 minute.
- Did you add the NHS logo and Rainbows, did you put one in your window?
Step 3 – Safety
Add a slide at the end of the presentation with the Government’s advice on staying safe from Covid-19.
Have a look at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NhmwFXzxrqI for ideas.
Step 4 – Hand in your work
Show your finished Presentation to people in your house, then Email the finished PowerPoint to your teacher.
