Web Development – Images
Images are a huge part of web pages, but they were almost an after thought in the design of the web. You still sometimes get that feeling when you are trying to do something creative with them.
The class started with a discussion about the need for images on a website. The class were then asked to find ten pictures for their website. Once the task was completed we discussed copyright.
We then went on to insert an image in Dreamweaver.
Go the insert menu and select images.
You can select and insert the image
Remember to copy the image to your sites directory
Remember to describe your image for partially sighted people.
You can then adjust the image properties
I had hoped to cover using a gallery in today’s lesson. However, we ran out of time so we will follow this tutorial here next week.
