Task 5 – Wages (Internet Research)

Today we discussed how much money people get paid. Sometimes its not as much as we might expect.
Take for example a football stadium, the players might be on thousands of pounds per week. The person who sells the food might be on minimum wages and the ball boys might be apprentices.

What is the minimum wage?

The National Minimum Wage is the minimum pay per hour almost all workers are entitled to by law. It doesn’t matter how small an employer is, they still have to pay the minimum wage.
The minimum wage rate depends on a worker’s age and if they’re an apprentice.
