What is Bullying<\/u><\/strong>:<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n This happens when a person is constantly harassed by repeated acts of aggression over a period of time<\/u>, either by one person or a group.\u00a0 It can involve physical or verbal attacks, name calling, malicious gossip, nasty gestures, damaging or stealing belongings, blackmail or pressuring the victim into doing something they do not want to do.<\/p>\n This is dealt with quickly and fairly without fuss to minimise disruption in the classroom.\u00a0 Persistent offenders will be sent to the Head Teacher and a list of sanctions followed.\u00a0 Parents are informed at this time and their support sought.<\/p>\n As we strive to create a caring environment, each individual is encouraged to take responsibility for his or her own actions.\u00a0 Choices and decision making skills are explored through the school\u2019s programmes of work in Health & Wellbeing.\u00a0 Through Health & Wellbeing activities, pupils are made aware of what constitutes bullying and the network of support which is available to them.<\/p>\n The recording of bullying or alleged bullying incidents are recorded electronically as part of the schools monitoring system. It will be recorded in Pastoral Notes as part of the Seemis system.
