The Enterprise Committee worked hard to make lots of spooky Halloween goodies to sell to pupils. The profit will be used to organise and host a school event later in the year. We all look forward to what the Enterprise Committee are secretly planning!

Solids, Liquids and Gases

The pupils were able to carry out exciting experiments to clearly explain what happens when you mix a combination of powder, vinegar and mints with Cola!
Bag 2 School
Our PTA have been working hard to raise money to support school activities such as science workshops, pantomimes etc… The Bag 2 School collection has been arranged for Wednesday 12th October at 9am. If you have any Bag 2 School donations then please take them to the school main entrance, just outside the school office, on the morning of Wednesday 12th October. Many thanks to the PTA for organising this and also to all who donate! 🙂
If you go down to the woods today….
Pupils in Primary Seven explored making natural connections within their local environment when they visited Wester Moffat nature trail on Friday with Andy, Lesley and Kevin from the Forestry Commission. We visited our pupil outdoor learning classroom and discussed the focus for our task. Andy set us the challenge of making a clay figure collage using as many natural sources from the woodland as possible. This then opened discussion about the different types of trees, wildlife and mini beasts living on our doorstep! I’m sure you will agree that the pupils met their success criteria when you have a browse at their marvellous natural creations. Well done M2.
Base 12 Bible Alive Studies
The boys and girls in Base 12 have recently finished a block of Bible Alive lessons with Mrs Sim. Through drama and even sign language the children were able to learn some of the stories from the Bible. They were even able to interview the one and only Moses. Primary 6 would like to thank Mrs Sim for her time and for creating fun, exciting and interactive learning experiences.
