Base 14 pupils hosted a super assembly on World War 2 today. The pupils learned lots from the information presented.
Our annual Sponsored Obstacle Course will take place on Monday 5th October for Bases 8-14 and NQ Room and Tuesday 6th October for Bases 1-7. Please remember to bring the appropriate gym kit for this event. Sponsor forms have been issued to pupils and may be returned with any donations collected from Monday onwards. Thank you for your continued support.
Snapshot jotter fortnight will take place week beginning 14th September and will be sent home on Tuesday 29th September. This gives parents/carers the opportunity to gain some idea of the variety of work covered in a week and to speak with your child/ren about what they have learned. You will have the opportunity to comment on the work on the sheet in the jotter. Primary 1 children will receive a folder rather than jotter. There is also the opportunity to add photographs and details of out of school achievements. Numeracy and literacy targets set by pupils will also feature in the jotter. I hope you enjoy looking at the jotter/folder!
Please bring a donation for our School Fund on Thursday, 24th of September 2015
Clarkston pupils were invited to create their own healthy picnic using local, Scottish ingredients as part of their Eco and Fairtrade elections. We sampled a wonderful variety of products during our One Planet Picnic event. Pupils were encouraged by their class teachers to consider ingredients which were seasonal, fresh and found locally within their environment. As you can see from the photographs below, the pupils certainly met their brief!
Congratulations to our new School Captains and Vice Captains for 2015-2016. School Captains and Vice Captains play a vital role at Clarkston Primary. A boy and girl are elected at the beginning of the year from Primary 7. Each pupil must stand for election by making a presentation or speech to gain votes from their peers. It is a much sought after position of responsibility within the school. Once elected, School Captains must maintain an extremely high standard of work as role models for younger pupils within the school. Well done to all pupils in Primary 7 who presented their speech this year, the calibre was exceptionally high!
A school disco is being held on Thursday 10th September:

P4-7 pupils 7.30 – 8.45pm
Tickets cost £1.50 and are available in the school to buy.
