The course allows candidates to work independently or in collaboration with others, and can help them to plan and organise, to make decisions, and to take responsibility for their own learning.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The main aims of the course are to enable candidates to develop:<br>\u2666 the ability to analyse and create media content, as appropriate to purpose, audience and context<br>\u2666 knowledge and understanding of the key aspects of media literacy<br>\u2666 knowledge and understanding of the role of media within society<br>\u2666 the ability to plan and research when creating media content, as appropriate to purpose, audience and context<br>\u2666 the ability to evaluate<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><span style=\"text-decoration: underline\">Who is this course for?<br><\/span><\/strong>The course is for candidates who are interested in film, television, advertising, the press and\/or other media, and in creating their own media content. It combines theory with practice which enables candidates to be analytical and creative, and provides opportunities for personalisation and choice. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Higher:<\/strong> The course is designed for candidates who are ready to develop their skills of analysis and production at Higher level.
