In Chryston, Maths and Numeracy is on our improvement plan during 2024\/25 . We have purchased a newly adapted resource called Teejay which will be put in place this coming session across all stages<\/p>\n

2019- 20\u00a0 we reviewed our use of Mental Maths so that children have the opportunity to discuss their selected mental maths methods – this is referred to as a ‘Number talk’ session. This will continue to be in place.<\/p>\n

At the Early Level we have also created resources to compliment Picture books in order to teach Time through a context to make it easier for the children to understand.<\/p>\n

Annually the school takes part in Scottish Maths week. it usually takes place towards the end of September.<\/p>\n
